You "Bow" Girl!

Well, I've done it.....I've started making hair bows! I was pretty impressed with myself. This is my first batch. This staying-at-home mom thing has brought at the Martha in me.

My niece, Caroline, thought they were pretty and wanted to wear them all. Isn't she beautiful!
The little green fairy is Tinkerbell. I think she's my favorite.

VBS 2008

Rachel attended her first Vacation Bible School (VBS) at church this past week. She had a great time. Her teachers took great care of her while I worked with the Kindergarten class. Here is Rachel on Monday morning about to go into her class.

Her teachers helped Rachel make her very first craft. It's is proudly hanging on our refrigerator! I'm sure this is just the beginning of many pictures to come home. Wes and I can't wait!!
In our Kindergarten class we had 27 students and 9 teachers. I'm not quiet used to such great ratios. We had a very successful week. A minister came every day and told a bible story. This was Michael Cummings dressed as Moses. Our theme was to Obey God. We studied Moses, David, Jonah, and Daniel.
We did many crafts. This was one where we were decorating T-Shirts. And yes, I ironed all the transfers onto the T-Shirts. What a job!!
The kids had recreation everyday. This was an obstacle course. The kids loved it!
We had a great week. Rachel and I were pretty give out but it was worth it. We start Weeday School on July 7th! WOW! Busy summer already.

Anniversary

It's hard to believe that Wes' and I celebrated our fourth wedding Anniversary yesterday, June 19th. We have had so many good times. Wes surprised me yesterday with breakfast in bed. Then he fed and took care of Rachel while I got ready for meeting at church. We went out to dinner that night. Thanks Babe for a great breakfast and dinner!

June 19, 2004
This is just the beginning!

We had been married about four months before we got Tyke, our Lab. He's a great dog but I ask myself many times a day, why did we get a dog? My advice to newly married couples DON'T BUY A DOG! This is something they don't tell you in marriage counseling:)

We look pretty happy in this picture. This was Christmas a few years ago. Who knew that our family would be expanding soon.

We welcomed Rachel into our family in January of this year. We had moved from being a couple to being a family in the blink of an eye.

Who knows what the next four years will hold?

"I love you more today than yesterday." -Wes and Lizzie Parsons

Rachel's first dance

This is a video of Rachel and Wes cuttin' up! If the camera is jumpy It was because I was laughing pretty hard! Hope this makes you laugh! Rachel will be auditioning for the television show "So, You Think You Can Dance" next season. If anyone would like to challenge her to Dance Off have your people call our people. Chow Baby!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the greatest Dad Ever!

Wes and Rachel in the hospital. Thanks for holding on tight dad! -Rachel

One month later Wes held Rachel after her Baby Dedication at church.

We look good together dad. -Rachel

Rachel is wearing her Daddy's hat. She really loves to be with him.

Daddy, you make me laugh. -Rachel

Wes' First Father's Day!

Did you shave today? I can't feel your stubble. -Rachel

Rachel and I are so lucky to have Wes in our lives. He works so hard to provide and take care of his family. He's always happy to see us after work. And he lights up our lives with every smile he gives us. We love you Babe! Happy Father's Day!

Pool Girl

Saturday, Wes and I decided it was time to try Rachel out in her little swimming pool. Her Grammy had bought her the pool about a month ago but we hadn't gotten around to using it yet. I lathered Rachel up with sunscreen, put on her bathing suit, and we went outside. The water was very cold and we actually ended up mixing some warm water in with it. She was not very happy at first but eventually got used to it. We did all this work and we were probably outside in the pool for 10 minutes. :) We gave Rachel a bath and put her in her swing. She was out within minutes. Why does the pool always wear you out?

This is Rachel getting in the pool. Her dad is pretty ruthless about getting her used to the water. Wes' philosophy of life is....It's All or Nuttin'.

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'

Rachel is rolling from her stomach to her back. It is seems so effortless for her. We can't ever get her rolling from her back to her stomach on camera. She doesn't do it very often. Maybe soon. In the background you can hear the music to my "junk" TV program Entertainment Tonight. I watch it to keep up with the Stars. ET is pretty much like Sport Center for girls. They say the same thing over and over and you watch the same clips over and over. ...And if you missed something well stick around for The Insider and you'll be sure and catch it.

Random happenings

These are some random videos from the Parsons' house. Enjoy!

Sometimes Rachel has a hard time falling asleep. It is usually a guarantee that she will fall asleep in her swing. The other day, we were watching TV and Rachel was letting us know that she was tired and was wanting some sleep. She was doing this screeching noise over and over again. She did it about 10 times before I went to get the camera. Of course once I got the camera she only did twice before going into dream land.

Rachel has learned to blow. Hopefully this is cute and not rude. Of course it is interesting when she eating and decides to blow. Food goes everywhere. And yes, that is me (Lizzie) in the background blowing with her. We had a lot of fun.

If you're in need of a laugh, watch this video. Rachel was really laughing when she was playing with her dad and dog, Tyke.
