Let's Eat!

Add VideoRachel has become more independent with her eating. She is feeding herself yogurt, applesauce, and anything liquid. She gets very upset if you try to help and tells you, "I do it!" She does ok on thicker foods but yogurt and applesauce are a real mess. Thank goodness for washing machines.

Beach Trip 2009

RACHEL GOES TO THE BEACH

FAMILY

All of Rachel's cousins were at the beach. She enjoyed watching and copying everything they did.

BEACH
Rachel seemed to enjoy the water and sand. We went to the beach most days and we stayed for about an hour and a half. The hat was a great item to have, it protected her head and face from the sun. This was Rachel's first time at the beach and I think she had a great time.

AQUARIUM

We took Rachel to the Aquarium to see all the beautiful fish. She really enjoyed it. We went really early in the morning before it got to crowded. It was a lot of fun for all of us.

Vacation Bible School

VBS started today. We had a great first day. My niece, Caroline, is here this week enjoying VBS also. We're looking forward to a good week.

Don't these two girls look excited to go to VBS??

They actually saw the cat behind me and were more interested in that than the picture.

Father's Day!

For Father's Day, we spent time at the lake with Wes' mom and dad. We had a nice and relaxing time. Wes' mom made a roast for the dads on Saturday night and then we went out for lunch on Sunday and continued to celebrate.

Future Gymnast?

I finally had my camera ready and got this on video! Last week Rachel decided she would stand on her head and by accident she flipped over to her back. Now she thinks it's fun and can do a somersault/forward roll. I promise I didn't teach her this she just learned it by shear luck. Olympics 2020 here we come!

Five and Counting!

This weekend Wes and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. We did a one day trip in our own city. We went uptown Friday night and stayed at the Westin Hotel. I love this hotel!!! The walls in your room are huge windows that overlook the city. Our room overlooked the stadium. One of the coolest things we saw while looking out of these windows was a construction crane being disassembled a block from the hotel. We watched it for a while and continued to check on their progress every time we walked by. Sunday morning as we drove to church the crane was completely gone.

On Saturday, we checked out of the Westin and headed to the US National Whitewater Center. This center has been open for a couple of years but we've never managed to go until now. It is a great outdoors facility filled with zip lines, climbing walls, ropes courses, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and so much more. Everything is man made and was designed by our friend Micheal who goes to church with us. Everyone needs to experience this place at least once in there life. There is nothing else quiet like it.

So here's to five years and many, many more.
